Simbex is currently seeking a postdoctoral researcher to assist in our ongoing studies (NIH and NOCSAE) of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI). Our company and collaborative research partners are uniquely positioned to understand mTBI using a multi-disciplinary approach encompassing real-time on-field measures of head acceleration (HIT System), neural imaging (e.g., fMRI, DTI), neural cognitive testing, and on-field symptomology. The long-term goal of our research is to understand the pathomechanics and clinical sequelae of mTBI enabling translational research and development of new clinical and therapeutic techniques to reduce the incidence and negative effects of mTBI. Our research to date has collected over 500,000 impacts on over 500 individuals across football, hockey, boxing, skiing, soccer, and equestrian.

Responsibilities:

Applicant is expected to assist in data collection and coordination across multiple sites including pre- and post- mTBI event, biomechanical data analysis, coordination of data analysis across disciplines, assist in preparation of manuscripts, and presentations of results at research and medical conferences.
