Simbex Simply Better Excercise™

Awards/Recognition
Translating scientific discoveries to practical applications

“The recognition of Simbex projects and people by such a variety of organizations validates the quality and relevance of the work that is being done at Simbex. Our small team continues to be recognized for producing groundbreaking products that rival those of companies with much greater resources," said Simbex President, Rick Greenwald. "We have a number of other projects in the pipeline that we believe will also offer solutions for major public health challenges."

Time MagazineTime Magazine 8th Annual Best Inventions of the Year
Time Magazine released its annual " Best Inventions of 2007" issue, and Simbex LLC had two of its projects make the list. Lev Grossman, staff writer, leads the "Best Inventions Team" at Time Magazine. The team begins a process of reviewing new technologies in September of each year. In what Mr. Grossman calls "the longest and most difficult meeting of the year," his group arrives at an initial list of over 120 inventions. "We really felt that these were the most important inventions of the year," said Grossman in a taped interview. "Things that made peoples' lives better," he continued. After culling the list down, the staff contacts the inventors to make sure that the engineering has been done, the prototypes work and that the path to commercialization seems achievable to avoid including "smoke-and-mirrors" ideas into a list of inventions.
